Elisa Galván-Mondié, is an award-winning Sustainable Finance & Green Bond framework professional. In 2017, she established FLOWi - an Impact finance advisory boutique - to help projects, companies & municipalities get finance at scale to build a net zero & heart-connected future. With FLOWi Bonds and FLOWi Cities & Nature, she assists her clients through turnkey bond services in connection with their Green, Social or Sustainability bond Issuance, ESG-Impact thesis/disclosure strategies and private investor outreach efforts.


Elisa was born and raised in a complex megalopolis - Mexico City - thanks to a wine & brandy family story. This is why she has strived over the past decade working based out of London, Paris and Brussels on helping foster heart-connected, climate positive cities through deal structuring, capacity building and partnerships with a focus on Real Assets, Purpose Deep Tech & Circular Economy models. She chose Sustainable Finance Advisory to combine her experience as Senior Advisor to 30+ asset managers at Extra-Financial Ratings Agency/Green bond verifier Sustainalytics and as  Innovation & Sustainable city Programmes lead for 80+ startups with Paris Municipality Urban lab during the Réinventer Paris Architecture challenge & COP21 periods, after having started her career 14 years ago in London with a Stewardship focused think tank and in the project finance space with banks Intesa Sanpaolo (BancaIMI) & Natixis. There, she appraised & executed 25+ deals valued at € 3.5 billion in the energy, green transport, utilities & social infrastructure space.


She started closely working with bond issuers and underwriters at Second-Party Opinion provider & ESG ratings house Sustainalytics, where she helped advance the green bond market by executing green, social & sustainability bond frameworks & second-party opinions. During her time at there, she advised issuers such as the City of Mexico - Bond of the year award by Environmental Finance - and the first carbon neutral airport in Latin-America.  In this context, she was asked by name to renew the collaboration and lead analysis, content interviews and writing on repeated occasions with the same issuers and underwriters (HSBC, Crédit Agricole). She was also in charge of looking after Spain’s Bank ICO account which launched its inaugural Social Bond when no Social Bond specific guidelines in 2015 (SME & job creation in economiccally underperforming - high unemployment rate regions).  In 2017-2018, Elisa had the honor of being voted by clients amongst the TOP25 Best client relations for SRI in the Independent Research in Responsible Investment (IRRI) survey across 43 countries.  


She holds a Masters in Finance & Strategy and a BA in Social, Economic & Political Science from Sciences Po Paris and is an alumni of the Bloomberg Philanthropies C40 Women4Climate initiative. She is a B Leader and has trained on Carbon emissions GHG Protocol, social impact with EVPA (European Venture Philanthropy Association), Smart Cities, Renewable Energy and Financial structuring with Norton Rose Fulbright Academy and the International Finance Academy in London and is currently training on science based targets for nature, climate & Net-Zero methodologies. Elisa serves as Senior Advisor in both non-profits and financial firms and bridges her passion for sustainability & viticulture through Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 3 courses. She recently moved near the woods in Brussels with her family where she is a respondent to the new EU Green Bond Standard & EU taxonomy consultation.
